SpeakI need to talk  about how I felt invisible  
as a child.  how I believed,  when I sat down in left field,  and sang during math tests,  and pretended tile was lava,  that I was too small to be seen.  how it hurt(hurts)  to move away,  to switch schools,  to chose to be teased  or ignored.   
I never spoke  about the ways I died  (a little each time)  throwing up cuts.  how it was  only a C in Geometry,  a dent in a car,  and a skewed self-perception,  yet, it killed me when  my mother said  "I wish that you were never born" Speak

Rinse and SpinLint-Rolling the floor like a  
manual vacuum cleaner,   
I can clean my room,  two hours before midnight  on a Friday evening.   
jam-packed laundry bins feed  
washing machines, feed  
drying machines,   
I can climb inside  
for endless fantasy,  for two hours:  the time it takes  for a rinse-and-spin cycle.   
It's ironic how I can  Fill up a page  with Empty ideas.   
I can dye my hair  whatever color I chose  and dress up in the pants  no one knows I own,  when they're reserved  for Friday evening poems. Rinse and Spin

Persona non gratathough we haven't spoken in a month,  I don't really miss the silence  via telephone,  similar to that of a cracked seashell,  closely pressed against my ear.   
I can say, you'll most likely see   the lack of communication  as solely up to me.   
But may I be the first to say  you never called me either,  and I'm not up to playing blame games.   
though I haven't seen you in a month,  I don't miss you  all that much.  It never takes too long for you to  play the part expected from you.
